So it sounds like you would use yoroshiku onegai shimasu meeting a client or another professional relationship, and I suppose you wouldn't use it with, say, a waiter in a restaurant (because you wouldn't be introduced). What about people in relationships somewhere in between these two? For example, if I go to a salon and have someone new cut my hair, we'll introduce ourselves - it's more of a relationship. Would I say yoroshiku onegai shimasu to that person? Or if I'm flying business class on a Japanese airline (lucky me!) and the flight attendant is using my name and introducing him- or herself. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu?
